How to advertise

If possible add good photographs, adverts with photos always attract more attention and get more views than ads without any.

Take plenty of time to write a good and detailed description, include everything that buyers would wish to see, do not assume that they already know. At the very least include some basic information, do not rely on phrases like "telephone for details", most customers will not bother and why should they when the very next advert tells them all they could possibly wish to know.

Finally and you would assume that this was very obvious, ensure you include a telephone number or numbers where you can actually be reached, if you are out all of the week include a mobile or maybe work number. I have noticed customers will not phone back or even leave a message, they just go on to try their next selection. In the same way, check your emails often, once each week is not nearly good enough, for the best results I have found that replying to email enquiries straight away and then telephoning them works extremely well.

Do not forget to include the area or town where the item for sale is located.
